How Does Neelakantha Meditation Work?
Neelakantha Meditation is a simple, elegant and sophisticated, yet easy to learn practice of meditation. It is a daily seated, closed-eyed meditation practice. You are not required to have specific beliefs, previous experience or study in the wisdom traditions. In fact, anyone can practice Neelakantha Meditation with great success! The ideas we will explore are practical for your everyday life. It simply requires learning how to do it properly in personal meetings with an Authorized Teacher.
Neelakantha Meditation works in harmony with the natural movement of the mind to move towards more. Because it works in harmony with the mind there is no need to manipulate awareness in any way whether by harsh concentration or attempting to control the mind. This is an effortless practice that gives us access to a natural and spontaneous current that takes our awareness deep inside ourselves.
After learning how to do the practice we will traverse effortlessly inside ourselves into a place of depth and silence. From this deep space of silence, peace and clarity surges forward in our awareness and is present with us throughout our day.
What are the benefits to practicing Neelakantha Meditation?
Neelakantha Meditation sets in motion a continuous process of refining the way we see yourselves and how we see the world. It very rapidly shifts the core of our identity by facilitating a spontaneous and natural release of deeply rooted fears and limited or contracted patterns we enact in our daily lives. As a result, we experience greater fulfillment in life by way of enhanced clarity, creativity, patience, ability to handle stressful situations with greater confidence and in that, we begin to exercise extreme compassion towards ourselves and others.
As we continue to practice, we become more skillful at identifying and disengaging from limiting patterns and find greater ease in navigating challenging interpersonal situations.
Neelakantha Meditation brings great order and coherence to life. When we traverse the subtle states of consciousness, going very deep inside ourselves, our awareness moves beyond thoughts, feelings, emotions and perceptions at the surface of life where we experience that place of highest wisdom – our very own consciousness. How Do I Learn Neelakantha Meditation?
I mostly teach individuals one-on-one in Austin. I also travel and teach groups domestically and internationally. The structure for groups is similar to the format listed below with more time required for each session. Contact me for more information.
Learn Neelakantha Meditation by way of formal personal instruction in a two-day course.
Day 1: Receive your NM practice and detailed instructions for right use. Plan for three hours for Day 1.
Day 2: Receive the full understanding of the theory of the practice: how and why your Neelakantha Meditation practice works. Plan for 3-4 hours for the Day 2 explanation.

- How does this movement affect me at the surface of life?
This meditation practice offers the combining of experience in meditation with the necessity of knowledge into the science of consciousness. It is this knowledge that propels our practice and empowers us as we understand what is transacting in our consciousness each time we sit to meditate.
